Ruby Walvin presents freshly pressed alternative/indie songs washed in retro fabric softener. With her classic mellow voice, Ruby prides herself on her honest lyric writing, embracing subjects like love, heartbreak and hope. Ruby also provides vocal voiceovers for film and television, her latest work being in the Amazon Prime original series Luden. Her most recent release, Minus Five, is a dreamy love song that would fit nicely into the libraries of fans of Alex Turner and Lana del Ray. Ruby’s 2020 single, The Game (a sincere heartfelt song about her devastating cancer diagnoses) was used in a Teenage Cancer Trust Campaign. This led to her performing at The Karma Sanctum Soho London with Nina Nesbitt and gained her a slot supporting Nina at her02 Ritz concert in Manchester. Born in Leicester, Ruby grew up on a variety of iconic artists which inspired the creation of original material at 11 years old on her very first guitar. Ruby won The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation Songwriter of the Year Award and graduated from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a first-class degree in song writing and performance. She also gained the opportunity to have a one-to-one writing feedback session with the fantastic Sir Paul McCartney
