Tennessee Tears

Tennessee Tears is a Swedish country duo that has been working together since 2014. The duo consists of Tilda Feuk and Jonas Hermansson and their journey began with a songwriting collaboration with Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac) in Nashville, and since then, they have traveled back several times to both write and record music. “This marriage between Nashville and Sweden is gonna be a real eye-opener for people,” says Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac) about their sound. Tennessee Tears signed with Swedish record label Jimajomo in 2022, a label founded by Sweden’s biggest country artist Jill Johnson together with entrepreneur Maria Molin Ljunggren (former CEO of Lionheart Music Group, currently CEO of Freebird Entertainment AB). The band continued to be the opening act for Jill on her spring tour “Havanna Tour.”

“When my tour manager introduced me to Tennessee Tears for the first time, I immediately felt that this duo had made their journey, I could hear it in the music-they moved me with their voices and melodies. I am so happy for this talented duo and their contribution to the country genre in Sweden,” says Jill Johnson.

For a few years, they more or less commuted between Sweden and Nashville. Today, they are based in Åseda, Småland but consider the whole of Sweden their workplace. They have previously released several singles and have collaborated with musicians such as Dave Roe (Johnny Cash), Michael Rhodes (Emmylou Harris, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum), and Ben Sesar (Brad Paisley).

In 2023, Tennessee Tears participated in the biggest Swedish TV show, Melodifestivalen with their hit single “Now I Know”. Since then, they’ve released more singles and are touring all over Sweden taking country music with them wherever they go.
